I KINDLY say you folks really need to chill on this :-) I have done
editing for publications in the past and I have gone back and read and
reread Joe's original post and while it was not all sugar it certainly
was not the venomous missive that a bunch of you are mistaking it for.

No doubt Brad is under pressure and maybe stuck doing something he'd
rather not do (?). I've been part of an IT group that went through a
smiliar deal years ago where our "home grown" apps (i.e. "our babies
<BG>) were to be replaced with BPCS. Takes some adjustment...

Joe has been a LOT more strongly worded on other things, but this, no.
Take it in the proper context and not based on past posting or something
:-)

Peace and Merry Christmas everyone.

Chuck

<Based on Joe's answer we are NOT all professionals.

Brad had a valid question that should have been asked on this list...it
was iSeries related after all. To attack him because we don't like the
direction the company he works for is moving, is anything but
professional.

Believe it or not, there are hundreds of thousands of successful
companies out there running on other platforms, many who have never
heard of the iSeries, and some that used to be on AS/400s. Its about
making money while taking care of your customers and treating your
employees with respect. It's not always about what computer you are
using to help execute your business plan.

While I agree there is no reason for name calling, I must admit that if
there ever was a reason, Joe's answer was it.

Happy Holidays!>
