Any chance you have an existing ERP package that you can setup to use a different set of libraries for this department? Hello there everybody - and a belated happy new year from ridiculously frigid NYC! I am currently in the process of trying to find a 400 software solution that provides a well-rounded management tool for a product service department. It hopefully contains inventory handling, complete order management and customer service follow-up capabilities for all PARTS (as opposed to a finished product) replacement requests from a customer. It would be nice if it could handle call logging, formal work orders, shipping and even the creation of a CLAIM for those requests determined to be part of some product defect. Now obviously, no software package on earth can fit each and every business model on the planet so modifications will most assuredly be necessary...meaning, the 400 code must be included in the purchase package...which, the quality of said code, would be information of certain import as well! Yes, this could negate the yearly maintenance aspect but the principle need here is the software system itself...not necessarily the after-sale/implementation support...although, any information you wish to share about any of this would be appreciated. If anyone can recommend/warn-off a software package that handles this business requirement, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks much.
