It might be easier and more reliable to just edit the alphanumeric field to determine if the format is correct based on the card type. An error message could be displayed showing the appropriate format. I would think it would be easier to use. I think you'll have to have this edit in any event since there are several ways to bypass CHECK(ER). Donald R.
