Golly gee, Batman, I knew that.

Sorry folks, boy these "senior moments" are happening a lot more frequently.

I think what threw me off was the fact the CL was submitting itself so there 
could not possibly be any size/attribute mismatches.

This comes up pretty often, and even has a FAQ entry here:

It has to do with the fact that if you pass a literal to a field that's
more than 32 characters long, you must make sure the literal is as long
as the field.
