You sure can. You can get CUMs customized to your system to minimize downloads or a generic set good for all boxes at your release. I used it recently to get 510 CUM3175 + Java + Hipers + UDB + HTTP PTFs. Quite a lot to download but broadband makes it easy enough. Yes, we're stuck with the cost of the CDs to burn it onto but that's trivial and that cost goes away with virtual opticals in V5R2. -----Original Message----- From: MWalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:MWalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 9:04 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Serious service issue when ordering ptf media. Rob, Can you get cums, hipers, and group ptfs via ftp? Thanks, Mark Mark D. And with a T1, etc, to the Internet I can handle the downloads. Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." The only time I had a problem was when there server was down and I keep reordering them, go three sets. I only found out about the problem because I sent an email asking what the problem was. It sure would have been nice to post something on the web site to tell people.
