MCH3601 Error in V5R2M0 ...

Hi Everyone,
 
I am having a problem with a label printer doing IPDS.  It worked fine on
the AS400 
until I upgraded the Operating System to V5R2M0 from V5R1M0.
 
Now, the printer varies on but when I start the printer (via option 1 of
WRKWTR), I
get the following error in the job log and the printer ENDS itself:

                                     Message . . . . :   Pointer not set for
location referenced.                                  
                                     Cause . . . . . :   A pointer was used,
either directly or as a basing                        
                                       pointer, that has not been set to an
address.                                               

 
Any help anyone can provide with this error is greatly appreciated.
