Would this be a good situation to try an EVI?  My understanding is that they 
are specifically designed to speed up Data Selection where the Selected On 
field has a limited number of values.  That appears to apply to your 
situation.  I'm just not clear if it works with OPNQRYF or only works with 
SQL.  MC Press Online had an article on this not too long ago.
