I know that they did happen to have issues with some of the early
power supplies for 270's and 820's.  Apparently they weren't truly
hot-swappable, although they were suppose to be.  I heard stories of
some 'arc-ing' and others taking down the system when removed from the
system concurrently.  Your best best to get the newest part numbers is
to order directly from ibm.
