Have a customer who has several Lexmark/IBM 2381 printers LAN attached (Ethernet) via external Lexmark MarkNet Pro print servers, using Lexlink protocol. They recently replaced one of the old 2381's with a new Lexmark 2481. Now every 10 pages or so (probably when the buffer on the 2481 fills) they get a message CPA403D (Operator Action required on device PRT05). They have to respond with 'R' to continue printing. I'm reluctant to use the System Reply List to respond 'R' to CPA403D from this printer as I think it could cause a loop if there really is a problem (printer not ready, out of paper, etc.). The device description has PRTERRMSG(*INFO) specified. There was never a problem with the 2381 printers. The system is at V5R2 with latest cumulative PTF package (C4244520). Any ideas? Wondering if it could be a hardware problem with the new 2481. ...Neil
