You could adapt the standard RPG-CGI model to render WML instead of HTML. I
suppose it really depends on the browser capabilities of your device, but
I'd assume most pocket PC have a WAP browser available. This is definitely
something I've never tried, so I may be on the wrong track....

Subject: GUI on Pocket PCs

Hi all,

our customer requests a GUI surface for pocket PCs (incl. barcode scanner),
which are directly connected via WLAN to the iSeries. They should be
controlled by "normal" RPG programs (5250 datastream). As pocket PCs do not
run full Windows we wonder if there is a software available which converts
the 5250 stream to a GUI. Are there any other suggestions (hardware or
software) to fulfill a GUI on WLAN terminals with iSeries?
Many thanks in advance for any hints on this subject.
Regards,

Individual-Software mbH
