Create a *WSCST object for the printer. The WSCST specifies the form feed, line feed, postion cursor commands and all that glop. The printer API manual gives you the form for the source. Then use the CRTWSCST command to compile it. Create an *OUTQ for the printer and specify the MFRTYPMDL as *WSCST and specify the name and library of your *WSCST. I've got the technical specs for the printer, and I've written RPG code in the past to drive the printer, but I want this printer to be able to accept any *SCS spooled file on the system, not just spools especially written for this printer. Can I write my own printer driver? Any particularly good resources for getting started? Thanks. -- Regards, Rich Current Conditions in Des Moines, IA Overcast Temp 30.2F, Windchill 22F Winds out of the Southeast at 9mph -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
