They said that they did a save entire system before they put it in storage.  We 
did a save entire system when we pulled it out.  So, we have what was on it.  I 
has been in storage for about 2 years.

I does sound like that's the best option. If it was in storage it likely 
has nothing important on it (your call of course) and that initialize 
system would certainly correct the problem or point out that there is 
some other problem in there someplace.  I suspect the initialize will work.
