RE: V5R1 to V5R3

We have a customer that upgraded week-end before last from V5R1 to V5R3.
The upgrade and native OS stuff seems to be working great although we
did have to change and reinstall JDBC stuff in WAS. It took until last
Friday to get the JDBC calls to work. Now our task is to figure out why
Apache is dropping multiple times a day. There also seems to be issues
regarding *PUBLC authorities on a few objects in the IFS.

I have not been the lead tech on this project and don't know all the
details. Hopefully this post helps anyway or at least gives you
something to look out for.

Hello everyone,

        We are preparing to upgrade our Model 270 from V5R1 to V5R3 in
the near future.  I have checked the archives and realize this jump is
possible.
I was wondering if anyone has had any problems performing the upgrade or
if anyone could share any tips (possibly an OS upgrade checklist) on
what to look out for.  Also interested in the stability of V5R3.  Any
information would be greatly appreciated.
