Websmart is just an example, but it is a tool that can generate browser apps in RPGLE or Java (i use the RPGLE). The fact that IBM put them in the Roadmap means they "are" considering more than 1 option, 1 path to follow. There are other examples. IBM knows we will continue lot's of RPG development. They are now filling in all the connectivity w/Linux, Websphere, .Net, and others. Go to Common and other conferences (including IBM's own Technical Conf) and see the broader range of topics. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Richter" <stephenrichter@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2005 1:36 PM Subject: Re: midrange modernization tour question > On 6/14/05, Jim Franz <franz400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > What has to be said is that IBM has decided to no longer compete in > > > the Windows centric network sector.
