Illustrious group members,

I need to diagram a Synon application's database for which we have database
tables but do not own Synon (Cool2E) and thus don't have the model.

IIRC, the database relationships are defined either in the Synon model or in
application logic. This is a regular "legacy" database with no formal
relationships or constraints.

The field names are in the format of AABBBB, where AA is part of the table
name, and BBBB is unique to the model.

For example, table DBAPREP has field APAZCD. The unique field is AZCD. Table
DBASREP has field ASAZCD, which is the foreign key to DBAPREP/APAZCD. Not
all of the unique fields are relationships. Unique field BOST is an inactive
code.

What I'm looking for is a product that knows about Synon, can strip the
first 2 positions off the field name, and let me define relationships for
mapping. Or, generate the SQL statements with the unique field name (AZCD vs
APAZCD) and let bring them into Enterprise manager to define relationships.

If all else fails, I can write an app to generate the SQL "create table..."
for me.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Loyd
