In that case, you can do it quite easily in CL. The following CL program
should work:

DCL VAR(&TRGBUF) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(9999)
DCL VAR(&BUFLEN) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(4)
SBMJOB CMD(CALL MYPGM)
ENDPGM
