The program has been running for more than a year without any problem. The 
suddenly out of the blue I get that problem.

If the program was not properly coded (except from the code you mentioned) it 
would had created problems from the very beginning.

My program is based on an example published on the midrange archive

Maybe, but that would still imply a bug in your code somewhere.  Neither 
RCLRSC nor RCLACTGRP should be needed if your code is written properly.
