My impression of the certifications i've done (System Admin type tests) is
that they are challenging, but very fair.  If you've done the job and also
done some homework to learn the system 'above and beyond' what might be
required in your specific day to day work, you will probably have no
problem passing the certification.  I think they measure core skills very
well with a few zingers thrown in that make you say 'huh?'... ;)  That in
itself is a reflection of the great job IBM's done with the flexibility of
the platform... of all the commands, comm types, and really specific things
that are built into OS/400 for the relatively small subsets of people that

You  can  follow the  links to Assessment tests, which are
offered  through AssessTrac. These  test are versions which were once
used or  did no make the list to be used in current battery  of test
variations (i.e one  of   3 or 4 versions of  test 259 for example).
Each has a small fee attached.
