Self, Perhaps something needs to be restarted, but being a client instead of > server I wouldn't have thought that should be the case. And what would I > restart? All of TCP? > For the archives, all I had to do was sign off to end my job, then sign back on. Even though I had exited back to the menu prior to each test, it must have had some data cached in the activation group or something. I can now sign into the system and issue commands. Alas, most of them are still failing such as LS or DIR returning TCP3D2C reason -11 for "SSL received a badly formatted message." Commands like PWD and CD work, but a binary get yields TCP3D2C -16, "The peer system is not recognized." Thanks again for the detailed steps. I'm at least past the connection phase now, though I'm open to suggestions on these new hurdles. Doug
