Customer purchased & installed Dell 1710n (after I strongly suggested only true HP network printers). I found it in IBM KnowledgeBase doc for Dell printers, but only SNMP connection. IBM suggests mfrtypmdl *HP5SI. I did add a wscst based on hp5si to allow barcode printing in *afpds spools work (rastermode afp=yes). Working ok so far. I asked network tech to increase the timeout value on printer (as ibm recommends) but he cannot determine which control panel parm it is. Anyone else setup this model and have a recommendation?
