David, All my ftp scripts have the username and password spaced just like yours, and work fine (at least when they are scheduled jobs). I had something similar happen to me all of the sudden and I don't believe there have been any PTF's applied. I have a CL that uses a script to connect to a remote system. When I tried to manually run the CL I would get an error on the port number, whether I specified one or not. If I released the exact same job from the scheduled entries it worked fine. I have no idea why this has been happening. Yes, but is it forbidden? Folks, please keep in mind that this scripted ftp automation worked fine up until a few weeks ago. We're going to talk to the system folks to see if any PTF's were applied. david
