David did you post what was shown in the OUTPUT file from the FTP job run?
I can't remember and I've already deleted your original post. I'd be
interested in seeing what it says there. I'm wondering if your script is
even making a connection to the remote system like you think it is. You say
it works interactively but not from the script. That makes me think that the
script-version is not really connecting to the right system, or that you are
not passing the same user ID and password you do interactively. At the very
least, I'd dump the script just prior to running the FTP to see what the
program actually builds in that job. As another test, you could take that
script and run it from your PC and see if you can connect to your remote
system via an FTP DOS script. If you need an example of how to do that, let
me know.

We uses FTP script on a daly basis here.

I just check: the user ID and password are on the first line separated by
one blank. They are also all in upper case.

One test I would suggest is to create a script file manually (with SEU) and
try it. Maybe there is some invisible caracter added by the program that
generate the script file.

Yes, but is it forbidden?

Folks, please keep in mind that this scripted ftp automation worked fine
up until a few weeks ago.

We're going to talk to the system folks to see if any PTF's were applied.
