I don't like them at all, but sometimes the files you need are in
multiple libraries. And in this case, it's actually all one library in
production, but several libraries in development.

Yup, works fine. And actually the help text on the default collection
(DFTRDBCOL) parameter even says: 

"Specify the name of the collection identifier to be   
used INSTEAD OF THE NAMING CONVENTION specified on the
Precompiler options prompt (OPTION parameter)."

But who reads help text. <G>
