I've never done an Exchange recovery, but from stories i've heard it usually involves a pretty complete rebuild? At least in that case your save and restore will be done in the OS/400 world and you can consider the complete IXS/IXA save to be very reliable and easy to deal with. We have save/restored our IXSs enough here already for some testing and other reasons and have developed a very comfortable feeling with the ease and reliability of the process. "John P. Exchange is performing poorly presently due to the old box and and increased number of users. Has anyone done this? Good idea or bad? If I do it, can I also install GFI Mail Essentials on that server? I hope to gain performance and consolidate the backup. However, it seems to me that if I have to recover anything in Exchange I may be limited to restoring all or nothing. Looking forward to your thoughts. John P.
