You can do file level backups through QNTC.  For example if I do a WRKLNK 
'/QNTC/MyPcName/MyShare/directory/file/yadda/yadda/yadda' I can get to 
those items.  Then you could back them up individually with the SAV 
command.  Now, it gets better if the server can run Windows Server 2003 
because it does something called shadow copy.  This blows by pesky file 
locks and does a nice save while active.
