Jason, If you prompt (hit F4 in you editor or at the command line) the SNDRCVF command (or any i5 OS command for that matter ) you'll see the expected parameters and their default values if any. Not to mention having access to all the help you need by hitting F1. Notice that on SNDRCVF the default value of the RCDFMT parameter is *FILE. Which means by default, SNDRCVF looks for a record format with the same name as the display file. It is not unusually to have multiple records formats in a display file, particularly if the display file was originally written to be used from RPG.
