Brian,

We are in the process of implementing the iTera Echo2 software on two
systems. So far we are very happy with it. It is easy to set up and very
easy to administer one it's running. It takes me less that 30 minutes a
day to do the daily checks to be sure everything is working as expected.

Don't skimp on the training. Go to Salt Lake City for the week of
training at the iTera office - it's well worth the investment (both time
and dollars). During the training you will actually start (and possibly
finish) the setup on your own machine. This is invaluable since you will
have the experts right there to help if you run into any snags alone the
way.

One thing I would caution you about is any software licenses you have.
This will apply no matter which HA solution you pick. We were not
expecting it, but some of our software vendors wanted a substantial
additional license fee to allow us to have the backup copy of their
software sitting on the HA system. Other vendors required a minimal or no
fee for the backup copy. Just a heads up so you will not be blind-sided
by extra fees you were not expecting.

If you have any other questions, you can contact me off list and I will be
glad to help if I can.

Thank you,
Ronald L. Zimmerman
