No. To be clear we run iSeries Access for Wireless and Advanced Job
Scheduler for Wireless using WAS Express on this box and have no such
issues with those. I have not attempted any tuning at all on the
Director Server or the MC Bridge Server. I was planning to upgrade to
V6 soon and attempt to make that version useful.

Is that part of the general believe that WAS performs poorly on an i5
and the i5 should be relegated as a back office processor, if anything?

RE: IBM Director

I set the V5 Director up on our 810 last year after upgrading to V5R3.
I found the performance to be lacking for the Director server through
the browser based Integrated Solutions console.

V6 is out, I talked with the VE Service Planner at Common and he said
that it might work better to set up the Director server on a PC server
and run Director as a client, just putting the agent on the iSeries.

You should be able to get V6x from your business partner. If you have
any trouble let me know offline and I'll get you his contact info.

Anyone else here using IBM Director, with the Director server running on
an iSeries?

It came 'free' with our 520, but I haven't really had chance to play
with it yet.
