I think your email was very negative and is the kind of attitude that
prevails among the AS/400 so-called faithful. What I am excited about is
that the System i family name allows us to be ONE family again -
inclusive of AS/400, iSeries and System i5 servers. Adopt it. Be
positive. Embrace this change, since you won't have to worry for quite
some time. IBM has committed to us that this name change is a way for
GMs - like Mark Shearer - to stop worrying about the impact of a name
change, have a consistent message to work with and focus on the family
and its growth.

The time is NOW. System i is OUR family. If you choose to embrace it, we
have a future. If not, we will remain schizophrenic and disconnected.
