When you are signed on, you have a library list.
When you do the 10, your library list is right there.
When you write some job to go to JOBQ from your interactive job, it usually carries with it your library list. A job that launches from the JOB SCHEDULER has nothing in its library list unless the programmer puts it there.

We have jobs in which they can be launched by user from menu, or launched from job scheduler. The CL has to do some IF to puzzle out which is the case, and make sure the library list is A-Ok if it came from the job scheduler.

The library list is not the only thing you have to setup that comes standard with a user interactive session.

I placed a job on the job scheduler to run today at a particular time. The
job looses the library list that has the pertinent files in it for the job.
But what is so strange I can place a 10 (Submit the job) and it runs ok).
Has anyone every seen this happen before.

Thanks

Kathy Carter
