You can use iseries navigator - printer output right click and copy the
report onto your pc (copy and paste into my document for ease of use)
then open in excel.

There's no real easy way.

The main problem is that spool files usually contain more than just row
data.  Headers, footers, along with subtotals and totals usually prevent
the spool file from being usable in Excel after a direct conversion.

There are commercial packages out there which pull only the row data out
of the report and into Excel.  "Report Mining" is usually the term I've
seen associated with such capabilities.

Other options include, pulling the data into Excel from the same place
the report program pulls it.

Or if the report program does a bunch of calculations to the raw data,
you could modify it to output to a DB file somewhere in addition to
outputting to the spool.
