Over 22 years I've used emulation products made by SSI, Emerald, Andrew, Nlynx, IBM, Connectronnix, Perle, and CLI. IMHO, the best came from Joe Frank.

WinTronix IP Client is derived from the source code of the now defunct Synapse IP Client. Synapse closed their doors October, 2005 after the passing of Synapse founder and father of 5250 emulation Joe Frank (http://www.josephgfrank.org).

It has all the display printer and file transfer features required for TN5250e green screens on an iSeries. It uses up about 7.5MB of disk, makes no registry changes, loads no startup programs and basically doesn't/can't foul up Windows. Costs are less than iSeries Access without the pain especially for multi-i5 shops.

A WinTronix IP Client migration program is availabe for current Synapse users.

Claimer: My company is now the primary distribution, tech support, and sales point for WinTronix IP Client.
