Prior to i5's we had op's console on our partitioned machine. It wasn't
all that bad. I even upgraded the OS from 2k to xp (been a few beers ago
so the details may be a little foggy) but I was amazed at how smooth it
was. Especially after hearing all the nightmare stories. Frankly,
upgrading PC os's is not my forte, so I was grateful as to how smooth it
was.

However, you asked about Lan Console and not Op's Console. There is a
difference. Disclaimer: I am only referencing material from this list,
but, is there any news if either of these two may be deprecated?
