You have some issue going from a higher to a lower release, for 1, some of the
apis in the jt400 will probably be different between 4.5 and 5. you probably
need to take the source and re-compile it on the 4.5 box and then try to run it

Subject: Can I move a Java Program from V5R1 box to V4R5 box

I posted this on the java list without any success

So I am hoping somebody here has some experience in this
area and could answer my question.

Please understand I do not have much java experience

I have a Java Program that runs fine on our V5R1 box

I tried to move it to our V4R5 box and I get all kinds of
"java" errors when I execute it.

I noticed on my V5R1 box we used the following in the
classpath to compile the Java Program

(and when we execute the java program)

/QIBM/ProdData/OS400/jt400/lib/jt400Native.jar

This does not exist on the V4R5 box

This does exist on the V4R5 box

/QIBM/ProdData/Java400/Jt400ntv.jar

I also looked at Installed Licensed programs

V4R5 has Jdk118

V5R1 has Jdk118, jdk12 jdk13

What is the easiest thing I can do to make this java program
work on both machines?

ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated

Allen
