try to trace it for the error, IBM has docs on this in the website and there was a huge thread on this a few months back 1. end smtp 2. trctcpapp *smtp 3. strtcpsvr *smtp 4. make sure the msf is up and running (mail server framwork) strmsf 5. did not see it but make sure snads is up 6. send a distribution (email) snddst *lmsg 7. check qsysopr for any msf messages 8. trctcpapp *off 9. 3 reports should show, look into each one, I think the last one will show the conversation with the remote relay mail server. It should tell you whats going on 10. Is your system really on the outside of the firewall?
