We've had a similar issue after upgrades whereby our queries were generated as DBCS capable. You can stop producing the spooled files as DBCS capable by changing the printer files to IGCDTA *NO. Bryan Burns ECHO, Inc. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Wes Reinhold Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 6:58 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: DBCS Spool Files I am trying to achieve getting our current forms processing package to work. It doesen't like DBCS spool files. The long story: We are upgrading our ERP package to another version. The company, for reasons known only to themselves, have built the database in this newer version on a DBCS data base. The DBCS spool files produced are DBCS. I may add that we are in the US Southeast, not the far east, and DBCS doesen't mean a D*** thing to us. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rick_Renkema@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 7:07 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: DBCS Spool Files That would defeat the purpose of what DBCS does - Why would you want to do that?
