Thanks for the tip, but it didn't seem to work.  I tried changing the
actual PRTF file.  Could this be overridden from within the program?  We
don't have the source.

We've had a similar issue after upgrades whereby our queries were
generated as DBCS capable.  You can stop producing the spooled files as
DBCS capable by changing the printer files to IGCDTA *NO.

I am trying to achieve getting our current forms processing package to
work.  It doesen't like DBCS spool files.

The long story:

We are upgrading our ERP package to another version.  The company, for
reasons known only to themselves, have built the database in this newer
version on a DBCS data base.  The DBCS spool files produced are DBCS.

I may add that we are in the US Southeast, not the far east, and DBCS
doesen't mean a D*** thing to us.

That would defeat the purpose of what DBCS does - Why would you want to
do that?
