If it's going to be a single-image small system, get the thin console. Cheap, works, done. Forget twinax. -- Justin C. V5R4.
No operations or network staff. Client wants system to sit in the corner & just run. Should I go with HMC or new Thin Console? (Leaning to new Thin Console) Any other features strongly recommended? Budget very tight. This will be system for next 7-8 years.
what is the price of the HMC and Thin Console? You probably only need something to do a manual IPL from. Can you put a used twinax controler card in the i5 520? -Steve -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
