When is IBM going to add a management module to the iSeries like they have on the Blade Centers? Web in to see status, control partitions, get an 5250 telnet session, run Ops Nav, and what ever else you can do with LAN console. LAN console is very close to this but requires software pre-installed. (Perhaps better for security.) I am beging to believe LAN console is the way to go. It doesn't sound like those folks will need or want any changes that require a special console. My install last week was the "exact" same system and they are doing wonderful with a twinax terminal that they don't know is the "console". I would NOT spend the money on a HMC or a "thin" console.
