We are in the process of ordering a new 520 and we are also trying to figure out what to get for a console. A HMC is over kill for our single system (no LPARs). We are looking at the thin console, but this doesn't offer remote access. I would like a console with remote access for system maintenance. The LAN console sounds like the way to go, but security is an issue. What kind of password, user ids or security is there on a LAN console?
