Hi Charles, It's common practice to add a timestamp field for the record creation
date-time, though there are other ways to go about this. A variation on this theme is a change log that is managed by a trigger. Both approaches require code to be developed to capture and maintain this information.
Perhaps the file is journaled, in which case you could retrieve the date
for that record from the journal. However, if the record is very old, it may be unlikely that the journal receiver that held the entry for that record is still available on the system. I do not know any other way to determine record creation date and time.
