You might look into NFS - network file system - this can have an anonymous login And it is much faster than QNTC! -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Fisher, Don" <dfisher@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I was afraid of that. There's no way I'm going to ask my overworked system administrator to ensure everybody that can use this function has an i.d. on the Windows server. I guess I'll examine datalink fields and f.t.p. some more. Thanks. Donald R. Fisher, III Project Manager RoomStore, Inc. (804) 784-7600 ext. 2124 dfisher@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I believe you are mistaken. The user ID / password of the iSeries user running the command is automatically passed when the QNTC file system is accessed. Basically, to use QNTC at all you must have a Windows user ID and password that matches the iSeries use ID and password. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
