Thanks Steve - I'll check it out. After all, XML started as a proprietary MSFT technique until IBM jumped on board and it became a standard, so MSFT probably knows a lot about it. - Michael On 9/8/06, Steve Richter <stephenrichter@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
The step by step books from MSFT are usually pretty good. I have the first edition of this book [1] and I learned a lot from it. What I find brutal about learning XML is you dont know which flavor to learn. You spend a lot of time learning DTD and think you have a handle on things. Then you read that DTD, while sensible, is old hat and has been replaced by something completely different. -Steve [1] http://www.amazon.com/XML-Step-Second-Michael-Young/dp/0735614652/sr=8-2/qid=1157728477/ref=sr_1_2/104-7387994-4691956?ie=UTF8&s=books -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
