Don't be so thin-skinned, Larry... I stand by Paul...Any developer who has been working more than a year on an IBM S/38 - AS/400 - iSeries system should know that each job has its own QTEMP library.
I suspect that your developer (or someone) had previously created a copy of the file in one of the system libraries {possibly QGPL (bad), or QSYS (very bad)}, and when the partition was upgraded to V5R3 this file was blown away, thus causing the compile to fail after the upgrade.
Some people have 20 years of experience - but MANY people have 1 year of experience 20 times...
