CPF1164 had the number of CPU seconds used as an integer, which is will
always round up if less than 1. We had a TAA Tool customer last year who
reported that one our tools that calculated CPU usage from the CPF1164
message was reporting that he was using 80 hours of CPU per day. I
investigated more, and it turns out that they submit 600,000 jobs per day,
all with very light weight CPU utilization!

Job start/stop events are recorded in a system history log (messages
CPF1124 and CPF1164).
Job start message CPF1124 has subsystem name in it.
You can selectively print system history log via DSPLOG command, but the
result will not be easy to query without additional manipulation.

Re: Listing completed jobs by end time

Alexei Pytel wrote on 27/10/2006 11:39:02 AM:

If you've had Collection Services running, it will have data about all
active jobs on system in QAPMJOBOS file.
There is no information about job queue.
However, subsystem name is available.
Every terminating job will have a record timestamped (DTETIM field) with

its termination time.
To look for jobs that terminated, search for records with status flag
(JBSTSF) equal '2' (terminated in this interval) or '3' (started and
terminated in this intreval).

Thanks for the tip Alexei. I found some data in the QAPMJOBOS file, but
it would appear the Collection Services were not running this morning. Any

possibility of finding the information I'm after without Collection
Services data?

Thanks again,
Adam
