Bryan,

I did not vary the device off. That might be why it did not work.

I solved it with Jesper's suggestion to end the jobs.

I will keep your solution in mind if this happens again. And it will:-)

Thanx,

Nick

RE: PRTFs stuck in status PRT

Nick,
I'm surprised it didn't work. It sounds like the exact problems I had
before. It sure is vexing! I disbelieved the users when they told me
about it. It occurs on our IBM 6400 twinax printer on rare occasions and
QSPLFIXUP always fixes it.
Did you vary off the device before running QSPFIXUP?

Hi Bryan,

I tried the program QSPFIXUP and the SPLFs are still there.

Thanx,

Nick

I get that a couple times a year and admit it is weird. First time was
probably 5 years ago. Support line had me run QSPFIXUP and it solved the
problem.

Subject: PRTFs stuck in status PRT

Hello everybody,

I've got a weird issue that causes no problems, but confuses me. Which
isn't hard to do these days.

I have some SPLFs that are in the PRT status, from 2 weeks ago, Feb 8th.
They do not stop the printing of anyother spool files. They just sit
there. I can not Hold, nor Delete them.

I have turned the printer off, varied off the device, and brought it back
up, but nothing changes.

The printer is an IBM InfoPrint 21, *IPDS and *LAN, attached by *IP
Address.

We are at V4R5 on a 9406-620.

Any ideas on how to get rid of them?

TIA,

Nick
