Thank you, everyone.

The console (Memorex Telex 1477) has setup-key, press
the button and then showed 'Online Setup Menu' screen.

I found 'display address : 3' on the parameter screen,
but could not edit the value.
Then I tried to turn on the console with pressing
space button, the editable setup menu came up. I could
change the address '0' on the screen.

We already lost the manual of the consoles and did not
realize how to use the setup button. Now I learn that.

Many thanx.

Some twinax terminals can be set by powering off the
device, holding the
space bar down, and powering on the device (let up
on the space bar once
you hear the clicking sound). Follow the menu
options.

Some others have a "Setup" key; usually in the lower
left-hand corner of
the display. For those just press the Setup key
after signing off of
any session/job.

I believe the address is set in the console
itself. You need to change the
address from 3 to 0 in your secondary console.
Sorry I forget the
function keys that will lead you to the
configuration menu in the console.
Please check your manual...

I have two consoles connected by TWINAX cable.
Promary console is port 0 and address 0 and
secondary
console is port 3 and address 3. address 1 and 2
is
shared by printer.

Now the display of the primary console has been
broken
down and I need to replace the secondary console
as a
primary. I tried to pulgin the cable which is
connedted to the primary and turned on the
console,
but the console is recognized as port 0 and
address 3.

Does anybody know how to configure the address on
the
console? or do I have to IPL?
