Cool I was mislead by the leading sentence of the help - you can use this command to compare source physical file members. There are a ton of options, and they all relate to source.

Having said that, I tried it - works fine, but does not show separate fields - I did not expect it to do. And if you have packed fields, the differences might not show up, because values below x'40' are replaced by blanks - unless you put output to an *OUTFILE.

So the SQL suggestion may give more meaningful information. But I'm glad to learn this.
