You could try a PWRDWNSYS restart *NO.  Then white button it.  Try that
on for size.  If it's working properly, the powerdown process should
take a significant amount of time as it queues them up to the firmware.
IIRC, it's a D600632B that it hangs on for about 15 mins.

ASMI is not required for this process - if it doesn't apply them after
that type of server cycle, you might want to engage IBM.

Hi list,

I'm trying to install a firmware PTF (MH00903) on our i5 - 520 (V5R3)
(non-HMC). In DSPPTF appears as "Permanently applied - IPL" (best
translation).

If I type DSPPTF MSG CPD35F8 (Server IPL required) appears. AFAIK, these
types of PTFs install as soon as I IPL the 520, which it has already
been done.

Am I missing something? How I am supposed to do a Server IPL?
