iSeries SSL FTP to WS-FTP server??

I'm trying to set up SSL FTP to a server running WS-FTP server (Ipswitch). 
I have received a self-signed certificate from the WS-FTP server but, when I 
try to import it into DCM, I get the message "An error occurred during 
certificate validation. The issuer of the certificate may not be in the 
certificate store or the issuer may not be enabled.".  I have imported a 
self-signed certificate from another brand of FTP server successfully in the 
past week but cannot get the Ipswitch cert to work.

Is there anyone out there connecting to a WS-FTP server using SSL FTP that 
has successfully imported their self-signed certificate?
